Monitors the current status of a batch job and detects changes during execution. This makes it possible to control which process starts next.

Detects when a batch job is run again. This prevents subsequent processes from starting too early and ensures they wait until the previous run has completed successfully.

Controls when a batch job starts and under which conditions subsequent processes are executed. Delays, time settings, and status changes ensure that batch jobs run at the defined time and in the correct sequence.

How it works in practice

A customer runs two batch jobs every day. The first posts sales invoices, and the second then sends the e-mails to customers. It is essential that these two steps run in the correct order. The Monitor Batch Processing Progress function ensures that the second batch job is only executed once the previous process has completed successfully. You can also define how long the second batch job should wait and when it is allowed to start, for example outside business hours. This means sequential batch jobs run automatically at the right time, without manual intervention.
