The fashion industry solution

Microsoft Dynamics D365 Fashion is an industry solution that was developed based on the proven and modern standard software Microsoft Dynamics F&O.
D365 Fashion was developed for companies that are active in trade (purchasing, storage, sales, retail) and in the production of clothing items.

The specialty of this industry lies in the visualization of colors and sizes, which are the most important characteristics of the fashion industry.

This fully integrated standard solution for fashion retail, logistics and production offers an interesting alternative to proprietary industry solutions. Production, logistics and trade thus form a unit that guarantees the user the transparent operation of the system that is familiar to Microsoft Office.

Our aim of offering you a modern and comprehensive industry solution based on successful standard software has therefore been fully met.

Model data / PDM

In the material group, the user can see all characteristics such as color, quality, season, etc.

and the permissible code per characteristic (e.g. black, 100% cotton, autumn/winter

2024) open and manage independently.

The models per season are opened as base styles.

Each model is assigned a style group.

Through this distinction, feature definitions of the style groups are inherited by the model.

In addition to the inherited characteristics, other information can be provided on the model
be deposited:

• Size key internal and external

• Measurement Chart

• Definition rule for automatic parts list creation (e.g. size-dependent material consumption)

• Production complexity code

• Instructions on Print / Embroidery / Packing

The permitted values per characteristic come from the PDM.

The master data derived from the model configuration is automatically created by the system

The system also creates the parts lists for production automatically.

Preorder
Work Order Management.jpg

In a retail system, it is extremely important that not all data has to be completely specified in order to place an order. Very often the order is placed at trade fairs during the responsible buyer's trip.

In order to be able to open an order efficiently, a special pre-order system was developed. This allows the buyer to write orders in advance with just a little data.

The pre-order does not need complete supplier or item data (however, existing data can be used). An address is sufficient for the supplier and the definition of a few properties for the item in order to recognize the item at the supplier and in your own company.

In this pre-order system all other data such as:

- Purchase price and conditions

- Sales price calculation per sales country

- Item characteristics

- Size systems

- Quantity planning for different delivery dates

- Distribution strategies for the store allocation of goods and thus the purchasing quantity implications are stored.

As part of the pre-order, the responsible purchasing employee/product manager can continuously monitor the purchasing plan figures and the funds already used.

The planned figures also serve as a limit, which are constantly monitored.

If necessary, suspensions will be imposed. These can be revoked through explicit approval.

If purchasing releases this pre-order, the system forwards the data to order management, where it is available for further processing (completing the data, etc.).

Order management

In order management, the released pre-orders are available to the purchasing back office. The data is completed here. In addition, the items and supplier data are checked to see whether all the data necessary for operational processing is available.

If necessary, employees can use order management to process the data correctly

place. Once the pre-order data has been checked and possibly corrected, the pre-order becomes

created an order. This order with reference to the previous order will be discussed further

Follow sent to the supplier.

From this point on, the responsible clerk can monitor and manage all quantity and date changes from order management. This applies not only to delivery dates/confirmed dates, but also to the monitoring of transport dates.

The prerequisite for this are the event reports from the supplier and the transporter.

Based on these event reports, a new arrival date is calculated in the system.

This can prevent marketing campaigns from being scheduled incorrectly.

At the same time, the system enables precise planning of internal logistics and

This prevents the warehouse from being overfilled and the distribution infrastructure from being overloaded.

The employee responsible for order monitoring can come from order management

create supplier reminders and manage orders. This is also allowed

System defines the packaging and labeling and enables the creation

various labels directly from order management. The current status of the pre-orders and also the orders can be seen at a glance.

Assortment box

In order to relieve internal allocation and distribution logistics, it is possible to have the supplier pack the entire quantity or a partial quantity of the ordered goods in assortment boxes.

The default is provided by Microsoft Dynamics D365 Fashion. The assortment boxes are carried as an auxiliary structure throughout the entire process.
They are available for inventory management and delivery to branches. If ordered in assortment boxes, these can be delivered directly from the factory to the correct branch.
